Balga Suburb Profile

Balga is northern suburb of Perth located in the City of Stirling. The name “Balga” was adopted in 1954 derived from the Aboriginal word for the indigenous grass tree Xanthorrhoea. Most dwellings in Balga are made of brick and tile, reflecting the period of development and while most residences are detached, there are some grouped dwellings and flats throughout the suburb.

Balga contains numerous parks, sporting facilities and recreational reserves with the largest being Princess Wallington Reserve. Balga also contains two local shopping centres and several primary schools as well as Balga Senior High School and the North Metropolitan TAFE.

In my 3 years renting through Ross Realty I experienced quick and effortless attention to my needs from my property manager Ashlee Packard. Communication was always professional but with a warm personal touch that made us feel respected and cared for as tenants. I have been renting for many years and Ross Realty was by far the least stressful agency to deal with. Not only did they make our time at our rental easy and pleasant but they assisted in finding us a new rental when our lease expired. And we weren’t disappointed. Right from our very first meeting, he explained the best strategy to market the house and achieve the best possible outcome. He really knows the Noranda area, having live there, and surrounding areas for a considerable time. His knowledge base, and access to potential buyers’ agents, added another dimension to his credentials. From marketing to sale was around 4 days, and the property was sold after 30 minutes of being open for the first time. In all regards this exceeded our expectations. Nigel’s after sale follow up was also very much appreciated, keeping us informed every step of the way.
